Was this guy, didn't look like much
And he sure as hell didn't try
From what I heard, he was in a sect or something
Wanted the whole world to die
Never got laid
So he raised an army of ugly middle class white men
They'll have a great circle jerk party
Blaming everybody else
Like a virgin
Staying at mom’s on a welfare check
Got all the time to be online
Creep up real close and watch you
Through the all seeing eye
I'd have more sympathy for you
If you didn't whine
I mean i got friends more ugly
But they're pretty inside
Alone in his room with the blinders down
Online he leads a tribe under black pill crown
Inside lives a worm nearing final form
In time he’ll burn them all just to feel warm
Still you’re so privileged
So who wants to look at your dick?
While the world is going to shit
So who wants to look at your dick?
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
