All cloak and dagger
They’re in the walls again
Now paranoia
Is my only friend
The rats have moved out
The fear has moved in
There’s no coming back
From where I’ve been
Just a washed-out shadow of a man
Die by my hand
Make these bastards understand
You’re my Vietnam
Already born
When the first bombs fell
Already dead
When they poisoned the well
To hell with these spinner of words
Destroyer of worlds
No reveille
Will wake the sleeping herds
I found a foxhole in my skull
It’s where all the light leaks out
Not post-human, but compost
A host for every single worm about
Just a washed-out shadow of a man
Die by my hand
Make these bastards understand
You’re my Vietnam
All cloak and dagger
They’re in the walls again
Now paranoia’s
My only friend
The rats have moved out
The fear has moved in
The rats have moved out
The fear has moved in

Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire

Call of the Void is the hook that draws you in. Then you find out Mutoid Man can go heavy with Broken Glass Ceiling, then jump to an energetic jam like Graveyard Love. Finally they hit you with an epic like Setting Sun and you realise that you have fallen for Mutoid Man's excellence. Thanks very much for the great album. rook96
Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
The first new album in 30 years from these noise rock pioneers, featuring the iconic Thalia Zedek, positively rips. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2019
