lyrics
To ride, shoot straight and speak the truth
Go to work in the morning
Straight to the fucking polling booth
Home in the evening
Drink beer, my fountain of youth
Hell or high culture
I listen to punk
I'm a social vulture
Martyr complex crippling me
I'm never leaving my factory
Fight the righteous fight like a canary
I will die for your sins
All singing, all dancing crap of the world
Still in shackles
Together we burn
Destroying art won't fix this barren womb
Do you think that you’re good and true?
Just walk it off
Hear violins playing just for you?
Walk it off
Refrain from luxury
Drink it off (smoke it off)
Drive a tesla to the factory
Walk it off
Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire
Call of the Void is the hook that draws you in. Then you find out Mutoid Man can go heavy with Broken Glass Ceiling, then jump to an energetic jam like Graveyard Love. Finally they hit you with an epic like Setting Sun and you realise that you have fallen for Mutoid Man's excellence. Thanks very much for the great album. rook96
Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
The first new album in 30 years from these noise rock pioneers, featuring the iconic Thalia Zedek, positively rips. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2019
